Dr Bridget Steer
Bridget grew up in Brisbane and completed her medical degree at University of Queensland. She undertook the majority of her training working in regional Queensland towns. Working in smaller, less resourced areas has fostered Bridget's strong advocacy for her patients and her belief in the importance of preventative health.
Bridget has a keen interest in women's health, including mental health and reproductive medicine and has completed training for Implanon insertion and removal. Bridget has also successfully completed her Mirena training and is able to help you with all your contraception needs.
She has additional formal qualifications in palliative care.
When not at Healthy Women, Bridget works in medical education, helping to train new general practitioners.
Outside of work, Bridget enjoys reading, listening to podcasts and finding toddler-friendly cafes.
